For some kids, childhood is far from what it should be.
Instead of playdates there are appointments.
Instead of sleepovers there are stays.
Instead of firsts there can be lasts.
No child should have to go through this, but those who do deserve our all.
Together, we can change the future for sick kids.
When you give to SCHF, you join forces with doctors, nurses, researchers, families, and supporters across NSW.
Thanks to this collective generosity, we can:
- Launch clinical trials that offer new hope to kids with cancer and rare diseases
- Fund emergency vehicles and outreach teams that bring care to kids wherever they are
- Build spaces that help kids and their families feel safe, supported and understood
- Provide access to life-saving equipment and world-leading clinicians
- Support families through the hardest days with palliative care, respite, and memory-making moments
Every gift matters – because every child matters.

One of the largest and most trusted kids’ health charities in the country, Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation exists to help provide all children with access to the best possible healthcare, whenever and wherever they need it.

Meet Milla
At just one week old, Milla was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder, affecting only 1 in 100,000 people. By six months old, she was diagnosed with cerebral palsy.
Since then, she’s spent countless days in hospital, undergoing surgeries and relying on world-class care.
But Milla’s story is one of resilience, creativity, and hope. At age four, eye-gaze technology gave her a voice. Today, she uses it to chat with friends, create incredible art, and dreams of becoming a graphic designer.
“I want kids like me to know they can do anything,” Milla says.
Your donation helps provide life-changing care and technology so kids like Milla can thrive.

Meet Remy
On Australia Day, 11-year-old Remy was rushed to hospital with severe facial swelling, pain and vomiting.
Doctors discovered a rare and life-threatening complication of sinusitis – an abscess in his brain.
As his condition deteriorated, Remy faced two major brain surgeries. He was terrified, asking his mum, “Am I going to die?”.
But Remy wasn’t alone. Child Life Therapists were by his side through it all – distracting him from fear, helping him cope with painful procedures, and reminding him he was still just a kid.
From LEGO and Star Wars DVDs in ICU to calming him through daily injections, their support changed everything.
Today, Remy is back playing sport, enjoying being a kid. Your donation helps fund vital care and support

Meet Artaban
On a surf trip, 14-year-old Artaban fell 15 metres onto rocks, suffering catastrophic injuries. With a ruptured spleen, punctured lung, multiple spinal fractures and internal bleeding, his chances of survival were less than 5%.
He was rushed under a “green corridor” to Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick, where a team of specialists performed six life-saving surgeries in one night, and more in the weeks that followed. His parents didn’t know if they’d see him again.
But Artaban fought. With world-class care and the support of dedicated clinical teams, he slowly came back – step by step, relearning how to talk, walk, and rebuild his strength.

Meet Ashton
When Ashton was born, his parents’ dream of a joyful homecoming quickly turned into a nightmare. Covered in bruises, he was rushed to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, where doctors discovered Congenital Acute Myeloid Leukaemia – a rare blood cancer affecting just one in five million babies.
At only five days old, Ashton began months of intensive chemotherapy. His tiny body endured more than most adults ever would. He entered remission, but heartbreak struck again when he relapsed. Over seven months, Ashton bravely faced further treatment, including a life-saving bone marrow transplant.
After more than 300 days in hospital, Ashton was declared cancer-free.
Today, he’s four years old – attending preschool, making friends, and kicking the footy around with his big brother. Your donation helps give children like Ashton the chance to thrive.
